The RaqRoanoke Community is fortunate to have several talented instructors in the New River Valley teaching in various locations around the area. 

​

These featured instructors have years of experience in different middle eastern and american styles and are available for weekly classes, workshops, performances, and private lessons.

Hiya has been pursuing her dance education since 2006, performing since 2008, and teaching since 2010. Hiya teaches and performs at various events throughout the Southwest Virginia, and Northern Virginia areas.

Kary has been dancing over 12 years after seeing bellydance at a local show and was hooked. She creates her own choreographies, as well as her own costumes. She is passionate about the art, and says practice with her dance family is the best part of her week!

Brianna has been dancing for 7 years. She started Big Lick Tribal in 2017 to continue the tribal belly dance community in Roanoke. Big Lick focuses mostly on group improv in which the moves and combos are cued by the leader.
